Proverbs 18:21 (TPT), “Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.”

Did you know that what we speak, believe and declare in those first moments when we wake up in the morning, have the power to shape our entire day? Before we let our feet hit the ground, we are able to align our hearts with heaven. We are able to set the day’s course with our words of faith, because when we speak in faith - heaven listens! We can refuse to let any negative emotion set the tone for our day, because we have the power to choose the atmosphere we live and move in - regardless of the circumstances. Here’s one confession that will declare God’s goodness over your day: “This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24). No matter how you feel, you can speak joy and peace into the atmosphere around you. Don’t wait for joy to arrive, it’s already on the inside of you because God’s Spirit is alive in you! So just begin to praise Him, begin to declare His goodness and faithfulness towards you - and that irrepressible joy will begin to bubble up from your spirit-man! Proclaim it until it floods your soul! Then begin to speak blessings over your family, and all that concerns you. Remember, you are not a victim of your day, you are a commander of it. So, say what God says about you. You are His child; you are hidden with Christ in God. You are seated in heavenly places with Him and have been given all authority to declare what is in heaven to be manifest in your life. No weapon formed against you shall prosper because you are submitted to God, and you are well able to resist the devil and condemn every tongue that rises against you. Every word of faith declared from the conviction of your heart is a spiritual missile, and the angels respond to those words! They are ever ready to act upon them. Remember, God created the universe and set it into motion by the Words He spoke. Since we are created in His image and likeness, we rule our lives by the words we speak. So be deliberate in selecting what comes out of your mouth, because you will reap the consequence of it.
