Isaiah 55:12 (NKJV), “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; …”

The AMPC translation says the Lord Himself will lead us out by His peace! In context, this verse was a prophecy of God’s people being led out of exile and into their own homeland again! For us, who are in Christ, it is a reminder to respond to God's invitation to consistently turn to Him, trusting in His Word and His mercy to help us whenever we have a need. As we place our attention on Him and who we are in Him, we will experience a profound sense of His joy and peace. This joy is not a temporary emotion, but a deep-seated force of strength that comes from knowing God's faithfulness and trusting in His promises. His peace is what protects our minds from being pulled into anxiety and fear. The Book of Romans teaches us that the kingdom of God, which is within us, is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost! So, when we are not operating in peace and joy, we are not operating in who we really are in Christ Jesus. We have been taught to say we are the righteousness of God in Christ (Philippians 3:9) - so we should also be saying that we are the peace of God in Christ; and that we are the joy of God in Christ too! Biblical peace and joy are not natural emotions, they are supernatural forces that flow up from our spirit - where the Spirit of God dwells! They are meant to see us through any and every trial and into victory. Even though we face trials and challenges in this fallen world - when we choose to focus on the right things, those difficulties will not be able to stop God’s flow of peace and joy from flowing up inside us. As they do, they prevent discouragement and fear from taking a hold of our souls, as we receive the strength to overcome victoriously. Consistently remind yourself of who you are in Christ - let your thoughts dwell on the reality of your inseparable connection to the Prince of Peace Who is in you and has already overcome every challenge for you. Every conversation will showcase His inner peace and courageous joy that flows unhindered from your union with Christ! This displays His faithful care of you! No matter your trial - know who you really are - you are joyful, and you are full of peace - because your God is supplying every need while you delight in Him!
