Choose Peace - It's God's Will for You

Philippians 4:7 (NLT), “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Anxiety is a dangerous, demonically inspired emotion that attaches itself to a worrying thought. Whether it’s worrying about failing in an endeavor, or financial lack, or over the well-being of our children, it always leads to pull our attention away from God’s truth and into fear. Which is why in Philippians 4:6, Paul urges us to understand that God’s peace, which comes from us meditating on His Word, has the power to guard and protect our hearts and minds from the destructive force of anxiety. Don’t be deceived into thinking being anxious means being responsible. The opposite is true, we are irresponsible when we give anxiety a foothold in our lives. Remember, God’s peace, that comes from a mind renewed to His Word, is supernatural! The world’s idea of peace is the relief we feel when there is an absence of trouble. Which is futile, because we live in a world where trials, hardships and trouble are constantly rising all around us. God’s peace is able to guard our minds from being distracted by anxious thoughts in the midst of trouble! We are not expected to solve life’s issues on our own. We are told to bring every burden to the Lord, to join ourselves to His easy yoke, and light burden (Matthew 11:28-30). To join ourselves to His yoke means to align our thoughts with His, and His thoughts are never associated with worry or fear. So, instead of being so consumed with worry, open the door for God's peace to flood your soul. It will cause you to see every circumstance clearly from His perspective and will lead you on the path of secured victory.  Refuse anxiety and embrace peace - it’s God’s perfect will for you.
