Never Alone, Never Without Power!

Hebrews 13:5b (AMPC), “…for He [God]Himself has said, ‘I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].’”

For the Believer, there is a precious gift we received the moment we became born-again! The Holy Spirit came into our spirits, re-created them, made them alive in Christ, and took possession of them! He made our spirit-man His own dwelling place! He became a fountain of life on the inside of us! (John 4:14). Then, Jesus taught us that there is a more wonderful dimension of the indwelling Holy Spirit for us to enjoy. It is the baptism of the Holy Spirit and power! (Acts 1:8, Acts 8:16-19, Acts 10:38). With this baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are able to have the strength of His life and power consistently flow from Himself into us, like a mighty river! (John 7:38-39). Praise God! This flow keeps us infused with His mighty inner strength! (Philippians 4:13). Ephesians 3:16 says, “May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].” This constant flow of the life and power of God in us must be maintained and not hindered - and it’s our responsibility to do so. Ephesians 5:18 says, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.” And Galatians 5:16 says, “But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).” No matter what we will face in this life, we will never face it without the indwelling Person and power of the Holy Spirit! As we learn to yield to this power, we will become skilled at relying on the strength and ability of the Holy Spirit. He enables us to refuse to live controlled by the flesh and to live holy before the Lord. He energizes and enables us to be bold and confident as we carry out His will (Ephesians 2:13). Turn your attention to and pour your affection on the Holy Spirit, who is within you, ask Him to fill you afresh with His power and strength. He will remove every hindrance of His flow from your life as you surrender to Him today. Remain sensitive to His Presence and obedient to His voice and you will know what it is to never be alone and never to be without His power ever again!
