2 Corinthians 5:18 (NKJV), “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,”
Praise God for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! For every person that has surrendered their life to the Lordship of Jesus - all things concerning us have become new, and now all things concerning us are of God! The moment we were united to Christ, our spirit-man became one with His Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17). Not only did our spirits take on the perfect image of Jesus (1 John 4:17); we were completely reconciled to God through Him. What’s more, we were given the same ministry Jesus had before He went back to His Father in heaven - the ministry of reconciling others to God. Ephesians 1:18 tells us we are to know what is the hope of His (Jesus’), calling. The very same calling Jesus had, we have been authorized to fulfil too. His purpose has become our purpose. The ministry of reconciling people to the Father through Jesus, is our primary purpose, and praise God, we have the help of the Holy Spirit to do it. Another purpose we inherited from Jesus, is to enforce the devil’s defeat over people’s lives. 1 John 3:8 says, “… For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” Because of our position of authority in Christ, where we are seated with Him far above the rule of the devil and all his principalities, we are to resist him and cast him out of people’s lives. Where he has worked chaos and devastation in their souls and caused sickness and pain in their bodies, we are to minister the peace of God and healing instead. Which really describes another purpose Jesus walked in that He commissioned us to do the same. That is to establish the kingdom of God wherever we go, releasing the atmosphere of heaven everywhere. God’s kingdom is a way of life. It is righteousness, peace and the joy of the Holy Ghost. As we abide in Jesus, and remain knowledgeable of what His Word says, we will be empowered to carry out His purpose for us. That moment-by-moment obedience to the leading of His Spirit will keep us succeeding in His call for us - until we see Him face to face! Remember, you are His, living for His purpose because He has made all things new for you - now all things are of God!
