Galatians 1:15 (NLT), “But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by His marvelous grace…”
Throughout the Word of God, we are told how God had a plan and purpose for each of us before the foundation of the world. We can walk in that perfect plan as long as we learn to co-operate with His Holy Spirit. The Bible says God’s Spirit is at work in us, empowering us to fulfil His glorious purpose in our lives. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”. While we co-operate with the Holy Spirit, His power to display His glory in and through us, flows unhindered. Romans 9:23 says He already planned to make us vessels that would display the wealth of His glory! 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.” Praise God! We were created to carry and display the glory of God on this earth! The greatest hindrance to that flow is our carnal nature. 2 Timothy 2:21 says, “So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.” If we know what hinders the flow of God’s power in us, then we can know what causes it to flow without resistance! Faith does! Romans 5:2 says, “through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” The AMPC version says through faith we have the hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God! As we give ourselves to hearing and meditating on God’s Word, faith comes, like a mighty force from our spirits, and when it is released on our words, God’s power is activated to move unhindered, allowing His glory to be displayed by every good work He does through us. Yield to the Spirit today and display His glory, just as you were created to do.
