Romans 8:1 (NKJV), “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

Jesus is life and truth, and the Holy Spirit is the One who reveals and transmits His life and truth to us. In John 16:14, Jesus said this of the Holy Spirit, “He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.” One of the truths the Holy Spirit reveals, is that while we are in Christ, there is no condemnation for us! That is because we have been given the position of right standing with God and we are justified by faith! When Abraham believed God, God accounted it to him as righteousness. The Bible says He imputed or attributed no sin to Abraham and lifted him to a position of right standing with Himself. Abraham was able to live from a place of absolute confidence and unwavering faith in the faithfulness of God. He absolutely believed that God was in an everlasting covenant with him and that He would honour every promise He made to him. Did you know that God wants us to expect to receive no less than this for ourselves? The Bible says that through Jesus, we now have a far superior covenant with God, with better promises! Hebrews 8:6 says, “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” This means we can have confident faith in the full benefit of the finished work of the cross. Our old, sinful nature died with Christ, and through His shed blood, we are no longer slaves to sin and its terrible consequences. We now have a new life in Christ. We are redeemed and cleansed and filled with His resurrection power! Give your attention to these truths and sin will have no pull on you, keeping you free from the devil’s accusations and condemnation forever!
