Hebrews 11:1 (AMPC), “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
The faith of God that resides in our spirits is there to appropriate what has already been done and made available for us to have. Romans 5:2 says, “Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favour) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.” While this scripture certainly states our salvation and promise to experience and enjoy the glory of God eternally, it doesn’t imply we aren’t given access to experience that glory now. In John 17:22, Jesus declared that the same glory the Father had given Jesus, that caused them to be one, Jesus has given to us - so that we would be one just as they are one. Everything that pertains to life and godliness dwells in us, by the indwelling power of God! 2 Peter 1:3 says, “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,”. Everything that exists in God, exists in His glory, and we have received it through faith - by His grace. The work to get it to us has already been done. God’s grace did it, now our part is to renew our minds to this truth so we can experience it - by faith. The appropriate way to respond to this great and wonderful gift, is to thank the Lord for it! We are not to focus on the natural hinderances, limitations, or even impossibilities. Instead, from hearts overflowing with gratefulness, we are to say, “Thank You Lord! I believe I receive what You have already made mine!” Then, from that moment on, we are to refuse to allow unbelief to contaminate our faith. We keep our attention on the truth of what God’s Word says has already become ours, and we consistently pour our affection on Him. This way the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts and all fear of failure is expelled, and the force of faith brings what is real in the spirit into our natural world!
