Psalms 37:34 (NLT), “Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along His path. He will honour you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed.”
Did you know, the more time we spend with the Lord in His Word and in prayer, the more His plan for our lives becomes clear to us? The NKJ translation of this verse says, “Wait on the Lord and keep His way…” As we wait on Him, He unveils His will to us, as well as the details we need for each day. Consistency in our waiting on the Lord will lead to a consistency of us experiencing His personal care and hearing His clear direction in every detail along the way. Now we know His plans concerning us are not just good, they are far greater than we could dare to dream or imagine! Which is why we should take the time to draw close to Him, as a lifestyle, so that it’s His path we are travelling along, and not our own. Other than Jesus, the Apostle Paul is an excellent example of someone who walked out God’s plan for his life, here on earth. We know this because the Bible records that he ran his race and finished his course! He walked in such divine revelation of the Lord Jesus, because of his personal time of devotion and waiting on the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:18 gives us a key to what caused Paul to know Jesus, and the will of God for his life, so accurately. He said, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than any of you or all of you put together.” As we speak in other tongues, our spirits commune directly with the Spirit of God. The very secrets or hidden things of God, that cannot be known by human reasoning, are revealed to us. 1 Corinthians 2:7 describes this wisdom: “But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God— [that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].” Wait on the Lord today, commune with Him through your heavenly language, and He will reveal His perfect plan - in Him, for your life.
