Psalm 27:13 (NKJV) “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
When the world is heading into a downward spiral and we begin to see calamity and trouble everywhere we look, we must not lose heart! Instead, we are to have faith in our covenant keeping God, who has made a way for us to overcome every trial and lead us in victory (2 Corinthians 2:14). The Bible promises that the righteous have never been forsaken, forgotten, or overlooked, and their children have never had to beg for bread (Psalm 37:25). While all this chaos may be happening around us, the goodness and faithfulness of God will be seen upon His children’s lives. Who are His children? Those who are born-again and living in the reality of their position of righteousness in Christ Jesus. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, making Him Lord over every area, His very own righteous Spirit takes possession of our re-born spirits! As we give ourselves to meditating on His written word, His life and power, faith and wisdom begin to flow in and through us. In other words, what is in our spirit-man begins to influence our daily lives. As we are led by the Spirit - we walk uprightly before the Lord. As a result, Psalms 84:11 says, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Hallelujah! Making a decision to trust and obey the Holy Spirit, places us in the reality of God Himself being our source and protection. His grace is His supernatural empowerment to live right, and His glory is where His provision for us flows from (Ephesians 3:16). Praise God! As we daily surrender to God’s will, He makes sure we will not lack any good thing in this life! Provision is yours, health is yours, peace is yours, joy is yours, the fullness of His presence is yours! Knowing this is enough to have you shake off any concern, and dance with joy over the goodness of your Faithful God!
