Revelation 19:13(NKJ), “He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.”
There is nothing more dependable or reliable than the Word of God. When we choose to allow it to dwell richly inside us, we come face to face with the Person of the Word - Jesus Himself. There may be things in your life that bring great concern to you and weigh heavily on your mind. No matter what the trouble, know today that there is a Name that you can call on and run into, that is a strong tower of safety and refuge (Proverbs 18:10). In Matthew 11:28, Jesus makes a call that stands true for all people, He says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” That word rest means to be in soul harmony with Him. That is when our thoughts, emotions and will are in sync with His. The Amplified Classic Translation says, “[I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” When we begin to see God’s Word as a personal representation of Himself, it begins to enrich us as we hold onto its truth as precious treasure. The Holy Spirit causes it to come alive on the inside of us as we give ourselves to it. That phrase “give ourselves to it” means to be all in. To completely surrender, submit and commit ourselves to its truth, and regard it as the final authority of our lives. We can do this because the Word is Jesus! (John 1:1). If this is your attitude towards the Word today, then take a look at what Ephesians 1:17-18 says. It says the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory will give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus! It says the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened to know the truth about the Person of Jesus. Make time to meditate on Ephesians 1:17-23 today, until the reality of who Jesus is to you and in you - becomes the loudest voice inside you. It will shake off every ounce of worry and fear of defeat and lift you up to a place of triumph and authority in Him.
