Psalms 72:1 (AMPC), “Give the king [knowledge of] Your [way of] judging, O God, and [the spirit of] Your righteousness to the king’s son [to control all his actions].”

If we are going to stand strong in the days ahead, we need to be grounded in godly discernment and be controlled by the Spirit of righteousness.  The devil is not holding back on his relentless pursuit to see believers in Christ fall. 2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble…” There is a safeguard to ensure we will not fall in our walk of faith and witness for the Lord. That safe-guard is diligence in the Word of God. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue…” The indwelling Holy Spirit empowers us to live with moral excellence in a world that is unashamedly promoting moral decay in every level of society. The way to get the flow of that power to surge in and through us is by being diligent with our time in God’s Word. The more time we spend studying God’s Word and meditating on its truth - so that we can live by what it says - the more God’s indwelling power will enable us to live by its standard of integrity. God is calling, and even expecting us to live godly lives of moral excellence - however, He is not expecting us to achieve this by our own strength. He has placed His Word within our hearts to transform our carnal mindsets and supernaturally empower us to live this way! Take a look at what 1 Peter 1:23 says: “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…” As we spend time meditating on the written Word, we draw from the flow of God’s living power that is within our re-born spirits. That power produces God’s Own incorruptible nature and life inside us, causing us to see and discern all things from His perspective. It causes our souls (thoughts, emotions and will) to be washed and sanctified by His righteousness. This way all our actions become controlled by His Holy Spirit, as we recognize His promptings and obey what He says. Learn to trust God’s Word as the incorruptible seed that abides within you. No matter what comes your way in this life - if you are diligent to give yourself to the wisdom of His Word - you will always make the right choices that lead to victory, and you will never fall.
