Prophecy Fulfilled

Genesis 12:3 (AMPC), “And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].”

This prophecy was spoken regarding the nation of Israel thousands of years ago, and it still hold true to this day.  Did you know the nation of Israel is the only nation recorded in the Bible that God has established an everlasting covenant with? Scripture foretold they would be a nation and would be brought into a promised land God preserved for them. Then, because of their rebellion against God, they would be thrust into exile and scattered all around the world. Scripture also foretold that Israel would be brought back to her land and once more become a nation, and it would take just one day to do it! (Mark 13:28-33; Isaiah 66:8). Word for word, every part of these prophecies has been fulfilled! On May 14, 1948, after being scattered all over the world, the Jews were finally granted their land back. Israel became a recognized nation, and it happened in one single day! Since God’s people were exiled out of their land, civilizations, nations, and empires have tried to harm and even destroy the Jewish people, and each have suffered dearly for it, most no longer remain. If you are wondering how God’s fulfilment of prophecy affects you, here’s the answer: It is concrete evidence that God keeps His promises! As you and I witness prophecy being fulfilled right in front of our eyes, we have the assurance that as He keeps His promises concerning Israel, He keeps His promises concerning us too! This should motivate us more than ever to boldly declare the truth of the Gospel to others. With so much moral confusion and false doctrine bombarding this generation, we have a standard of truth rooted in the infallible Word of God, that has stood true and strong since the beginning of time and will continue to do so forever.  Prophecy fulfilled is our irrefutable proof of the existence of our God and His everlasting covenant with His children - both for the Nation of Israel, and for those of us who have been grafted into His kingdom through His Son, Jesus Christ!
