Romans 8:6 (ESV): "For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace."

The Word of God shows us exactly who God is, what He has done for us, who we are in Him, and it gives us instructions for victory in everyday life. Since it's inspired by His Own Spirit and is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16); it is alive and has the power to renew our minds and transform us into the image of God whenever we give it our full attention. Understanding the Word from this perspective places a great value on it doesn't it? We begin to treat it with the honour it deserves as we make it the final authority of our lives. When every voice around us shouts confusion, each having its own form of truth - God's Word is the only truth we can completely place our trust in. As we fill our thoughts and hearts with the Word, it changes our perspective on all things, and gives us a new way of talking! We cannot rise higher than our confession, so when we begin speaking the language of God's Word, from the conviction of our hearts, we access the very atmosphere of heaven and usher in the kingdom of God into our personal world! Allow God's Word to go from just being head knowledge to real, deep heart knowledge - where it becomes rooted inside your soul! It will cause you to live a life that is no longer limited by the things of this natural world. Instead, you will begin to live a life dominated by the Spirit - where nothing is impossible, and everything around you is subject to change - just by the power of God's Word living strong in you and through you!
