Pay No Mind to the Devil

Isaiah 37:6 (NKJV): "...Thus says the Lord: Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me."

With so much access to so much information, it's easy for the enemy to sneak in a crafty word into our minds, when we're not paying attention. Those niggling thoughts sent to harass our minds and weaken our faith are seeds of doubt or fear. However, the moment we recognise where they come from - we won't give them the time of day! Instead, we immediately root them out and replace them with the truth of God's word! King Hezekiah had heard the horrifying threats of the Assyrian king, and they troubled him. Just the same, it's easy for us to feel unnerved and anxious when we receive a bad report. Godly advice rings as true for us as it did for Hezekiah: "Do not be afraid of the words you have heard..." Pay no mind to the enemy. Don't be shaken, and don't be afraid. Only concern yourself with remaining in God's presence, and keeping your mind fixed on His Word! Draw nearer to the Lord and get busy doing His kingdom business! This way we confuse the enemy by refusing to pay attention to his threats and retreat. Instead, we build ourselves up in faith and advance victoriously in confident joy!
