John 14:21 (AMPC): "The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]"

Jesus gives us a way to truly, clearly know Him and His love for us. He said it's through really loving Him. Then He tells what it means to love Him. He said we must have His commands and keep them. Now, we'll never truly understand the impact this verse should have on us if we don't see it from the perspective of relationship. Jesus is the Living Word. If we took the time to know His Word, we would come to know Him. His heart, His mind, and His ways are all revealed in His Word. It's impossible to know Him in light of His Word and not want to live by His principles, because they are always life-giving. The truth and love that flows from knowing God in His Word has the power to completely transform us. In fact, a love relationship with the Word of God so drastically changes us to the point we become just like the One we are in love with (2 Corinthians 3:18). This can only be done through the work of the Holy Spirit in us. Today, rely on Him to make the Word real to you, and see the Person of Jesus in it. He will draw you to align your life with Him, which becomes the tell-tale sign of your love for Him. As a result, you will know and see Jesus clearly, as you encounter His never ending love for you.
