Responsible for Your Heart

Hebrews 12:15 (NKJV): “looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled”

Scripture clearly tells us God’s will is to see His kingdom culture thrive here on earth, through His children. If we are going to cultivate the atmosphere of heaven in and around us, we are going to have to take responsibility for what we allow to grow in our own hearts and minds. When we are diligent to watch, direct, correct, and oversee what goes on inside us, we will not only prevent our faith from slipping, but create and maintain a wonderful climate for the Presence of God to dominate our lives. We do this by being diligent to keep the Word of God the dominating voice and influence in our lives. That’s because God’s Word is the ultimate truth and moral compass for our lives. Just as important is to stoke up the flames of our hunger for the tangible presence of God, regarding His glory as the most precious prize in our lives. We do this by constantly being aware of, and sensitive to His Spirit within us. We remain sensitive to Him by always being thankful and acknowledging Him in everything we do. Remember, Jesus is our access to the throne room of the Father, and His Holy Spirit always moves in response to the hunger of our hearts. Make your heart the breeding ground for His kingdom presence today.
