Fulfilled Expectation

Proverbs 23:18-19 (AMPC): “For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your mind in the way [of the Lord].”

More often than not, the statement “God knows best” is used when people aren’t convinced of what God’s best is, and have given up on intentionally believing for their breakthrough to manifest. The truth is God DOES know best, and He hasn’t hidden what that is from us. His will is His Word; and when we know what His Word says about what we need, we are expected to make our stand in faith – and with joyful, expectant hearts, trust God’s promises to be established in our lives. The true test of faith comes during the waiting period. We have to determine to keep our thoughts steadfast while we wait for God’s Word to do its work! We must resist the temptation to quit on our faith before the answer is manifest. God promises to work all things together for our good, and His glory – so work with Him. Every time you’re tempted to doubt, say: “Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for Your faithfulness to fulfil Your Word concerning me. I direct my thoughts and my ways to You and Your Word, knowing You will do exactly what You have promised! I rejoice in You, expecting nothing but Your best for me! Thank you that my hope and expectation in You will result in the promised reward and not be cut off – in Jesus Name!”
