Romans 8:29 (NLT): “For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”

Heaven is designed to influence earth, and the finished work of the cross made a way for the kingdom of God to reign through His children (Romans 5:17). Just as Jesus is now – victorious, and full of the glory of God – we are to be here on earth, as we live in Him (1 John 4:17). How do we do this? Certainly not in our own strength! The Word says we are strengthened with all might according to God’s glorious POWER, that enables us to do all things in Christ Who strengthens us! (Colossians 1:11; Philippians 4:13) This supernatural power we receive allows God to work through us, performing signs, wonders and miracles, just as Jesus did. What’s more, everything we will ever need is wrapped up in the person of Jesus. He is the source of our peace, joy, and wisdom; and living in Him brings His goodness and favour into our lives. Here’s another great truth: this same power also gives us the ability to be just like Jesus in character and nature too. Just as the Apostle Paul’s ultimate desire was to intimately know the One who drastically changed his life forever, when we hunger after knowing the person of Jesus – He satisfies that hunger by revealing Himself to us, transforming us in the process. We get to know Him more each time we encounter Him in His Word (2 Corinthians 3:18). God has chosen and empowered you to be just like His Son. Walk in the victory, blessing, and abundance His Word has authorized you to have.
