Unwavering Faith

Luke 22:31 (TPT): “Peter, my dear friend, listen to what I’m about to tell you. Satan has obtained permission to come and sift you all like wheat and test your faith.”

Peter was tenacious and passionate about his alliance with Christ and swore he would never deny Jesus. Unfortunately, when it came to the crunch, he ended up doing what he swore he wouldn’t do, just like Jesus predicted. As followers of Christ, we must be vigilant to recognize the various tactics the enemy uses to try defeat us and cause division, strife and weakness in the Body of Christ. The Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy (2 Timothy 1:6-7) to fan into flame the spiritual gift inside of him, so he could boldly stand in faith. We live in times where it feels like our faith is tested daily, but remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline. Settle in your heart that your intimacy with the Lord from your time in His Word and fellowship with His Spirit, is what will keep you moving forward today in unwavering faith. The Bible promises, when we make and keep Him the object of our affection, we will go from faith to faith, and victory to victory.
