From Servant to Friend

John 15:15 (TPT): "I have never called you 'servants,' because a master doesn't confide in his servants, and servants don't always understand what the master is doing. But I call you My most intimate and cherished friends, for I reveal to you everything that I've heard from My Father."

We are no longer slaves in bondage, but rather we are friends of Jesus who are now free. Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we have been made free from all bondage of sin. Jesus took upon Himself every sickness of soul and body so that we can receive healing, wholeness and divine health in Him. In spite of the brokenness of the world around us, He has become our bread of life - our source of life, our peace and joy. Abiding in Him and keeping His Word alive in our hearts is how we align ourselves with the reality of heaven here on earth - in the midst of trouble and confusion. We are able to operate and live in perpetual victory because of what Jesus did for us. Christ positioned us and enabled us to be more than conquerors in this world. This is your portion child of God! You are more than a conqueror! Since we are in Him, we are so much more than servants, we are family. Not distant family, but family that enjoys an intimate friendship with the Lord. He constantly reveals the wonderful truths of the kingdom to us. We are privileged to know the Father's heart because Jesus calls us His most cherished friends!
