Steward Your Treasure Well

Proverbs12:27 (NKJV): "The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is man's precious possession."

Can you imagine the tragedy of working hard to obtain a treasure, only to let it spoil? Interestingly enough, the Word of God teaches that we're not at all short on gifts and treasures that enrich our lives and others' (1 Timothy 4:14; Ephesians 1:3; James 1:17). These gifts were given to us freely; however with them came the responsibility to steward them well. Increase comes from what we steward correctly. Our goal is to glorify God by living out the purpose He has called us to in Christ Jesus. How we accomplish that is absolutely unique to each of us, because of the different callings. But this principle will always remain the same: recognise opportunities and seize them. Whether in the area of business, marriage, family, friendships, ministry, or talents; don't neglect making a concerted effort to grow in your love, passion, and sensitivity to carry the Presence of God and influence others with His goodness, righteousness, peace and joy. Always make time to prioritise the Presence of God in your life. Feed the fire He placed within you, so you can burn brightly for Him, protecting and increasing the precious treasure as you give as freely as you've received.
