James 4:10 (NKJV): "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."

Since the Bible declares God is not a respecter of persons, we know He loves us all equally, without exception. However, the level of favour upon a person's life is a different matter. The goodness and favour of God surrounds and overtakes those who place His will above their own with no hesitation, and delight in doing so! God promises when we humble ourselves before Him, choosing His ways of love, forgiveness, and self-control, and paying careful attention to His leading - He will lift us up! Promotion and favour are a direct result of laying down our lives to follow His heart. Humble yourself before the Lord today and expect His favour to be drawn to you!
