1 Corinthians 6:19 (AMPC):"Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own"

Your life is not your own! To some this statement might stir up angry protests, but for the believer who knows His God, it stirs up a well of love and gratitude! We know full well our lives independent from God lead to misery and death. We've come to know by experience how God's desires for us are of far more value and full of reward compared to anything we could wish for ourselves. The fact that we've been purchased at a high price by a powerful, merciful Saviour - Who is Love Himself - brings more joy to us than we could ever explain. In this life, too many are consumed with self and their attitudes and actions reject the perfect, unconditional love of God. In the end, the only thing self-reliance nurtures is our own insecurities. Until we recognise our desperate need for a Saviour and the inherent longing to belong and be one with our Loving Creator, we will constantly be fighting to protect our rights. Today, fully surrender to the One Who fiercely loves you; Who is inseparably with you; and is eternally for you - you belong to Him.
