A Continuous Flow Of Comfort

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (AMPC): “Blessed be God ... the Father of sympathy, and [the Source] of every comfort ... Who (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble, so that we may also be able to comfort those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

No matter what we face in this life, it’s important to settle in our minds once and for all: our lives are not defined by hardships or tragedy - they are defined by the Word of God. Our Heavenly Father has personally declared Himself to be our comfort, strength, and exceedingly great reward! When we choose to keep our trust in Him, lean on and rely on Him through every trial, His flow of comfort and peace will not only bless and keep us strong; it will be so remarkable that others will be comforted by it too. Knowing God like this causes us to overcome every trial with joy. So refuse to let any trouble or tragedy steal the comfort and joy that’s already yours. Set your attention on God and His Word - allowing the Source of hope to rise up and flow in and through you!
