Exodus 33:16 (AMPC): "For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight? Is it not in Your going with us so that we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth?"

As Moses led God's people on the journey to their promised land, he was unyielding when it came to having God go with them every step of the way. As much as He gave His word they would conquer, it was His presence that Moses was after - he knew it was the difference-maker. No matter how much of God's Word we know, it's the Presence of His Holy Spirit that causes it to come alive inside us, so we can personally experience Him in its wisdom and receive its life and peace. What causes God's people to conquer insurmountable challenges and have doors open that were previously impenetrable, is the unmerited favour that comes from the flow of God's presence in our lives. There is nothing to be compared with knowing God and experiencing His tangible Presence every step of our journey of faith. Let's decide to be unyielding when it comes to pursuing Him in our everyday lives and everything we do. Our Father longs to be known by us and have His Holy Spirit lead us. Spending time with Him has to be non-negotiable. It's His Presence in and with us that will distinguish us from all other people on the face of the earth.
