Proverbs 22:4 (AMPC): "The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honour and life."

To say humility leads to wealth may seem like a contradiction to some. However, when we understand the true meaning of humility, we realise it means abandoning our own limited desires, and will, and aspirations and taking up God's own instead. Humility is laying down your own selfish agenda and cause, to take up God's kingdom purpose, and living as His vessel for His purpose. In 1 Peter 5:5 it says that God sets Himself against the proud, He frustrates, opposes and defeats them. But He gives grace, favour, and blessing to the humble. The moment we stop living for ourselves and surrender our all to Christ by constantly abiding in Him, and keeping His Words alive in our hearts, we seek His kingdom first. This automatically releases His abundant provision into our lives. That's because the physical world can not operate independently from the spiritual world. As you prosper in the things of the Spirit, you open the channels for manifest blessings and favour in the natural.
