Fit For His Glory

2 Timothy 2:21(AMPC):"So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work."

We can expect to be used by God in ways we never expected possible when we choose to purposefully turn our back on sin and all influences that contaminate our character. Wholeheartedly pursuing a relationship with the Holy Spirit keeps us moving forward in His perfect will for our lives. Many Christians desire for the Lord to use them mightily, and to see the miraculous being worked through their lives. The problem is their desire to live in compromise is greater than their desire to see God's glory manifest in and through their lives. When we choose to live each day devoted to following after the Lord, seeing what pleases His heart, filling ourselves with His power, drawing from His wisdom and love; we begin to live with His purpose, energized by His Spirit and fit to carry His glory. Draw near to the Lord today, surrender your whole life to His will; let Him fill you, empower you, and equip you to be the vessel He can use to blaze this world with His glory!
