Unlock the Treasures

by Dr Andre and Jenny Roebert
Tuesday, 01 October 2019 | Reading taken from Proverbs 1:2-3 (TPT)

Proverbs 1:2-3 (TPT): "Within these sayings will be found the revelation of wisdom and the impartation of spiritual understanding. Use them as keys to unlock the treasures of true knowledge. Those who cling to these words will receive discipline to demonstrate wisdom in every relationship and to choose what is right and just and fair."

The Word of God is full of treasure. It holds all we need to live with purpose and the necessary wisdom for whatever we face in this life. It is, and has always been, God's desire for us to live satisfied lives, where there are no empty spaces concerning His goodness and favour. When we learn to draw from His divine wisdom that is easily accessible to us, we will see it go to work in and through our lives. God's Word has the power to energise us and fill us with peace so we can confidently walk in the direction it leads us, one day at a time. Determine to spend some quality time in God's Word today; embrace its wisdom as you unlock the treasure that's waiting to be found by you.

Defy the Impossible

Tuesday, 01 October 2019 | Reading taken from Romans 10:8 (KJV)

Romans 10:8 (KJV):“…The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach”

When the disciples saw what appeared to be a man walking on water, their immediate reaction was to exclaim “It’s a ghost!” In response, Jesus revealed Himself to them saying, “Take courage. I am here”. Peter, however, wanted confirmation saying, “Lord, if it’s really You, tell me to come to You, on the water”. Jesus simply replied, “Yes. Come!” Peter wanted to hear Jesus give the instruction. He understood from past experience that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. In Jesus’ response, He delegated His authority to Peter, allowing Him to even defy the natural law of gravity. The moment Peter stepped out of that boat, he wasn’t standing on water – He was standing on the authority of The Word (Jesus). Every time we take God’s Word to heart and act upon it, standing on its truth – we stand in the authority He has given us to defy the impossible. Today, keep your heart and mind rooted in the truth of God’s Word – then no matter what you face, step out in the authority of His Word and watch His promises become possible!
