John 12:32 (NLT): "And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to Myself."

Jesus Christ is our banner of victory. When we lift His Name up - in worship, in our conversations, and in the way we live our lives - His Presence is released right there where we are, to minister life, healing, deliverance, and peace. In this particular text, Jesus is comparing Himself to the image God directed Moses to craft for Israel when their camp was invaded by poisonous snakes. All who looked up to that image would receive instant healing, and were miraculously saved. Just the same, when Jesus is lifted high in our lives, no matter what the conditions are around us, His power is manifest and will meet whatever need there is. The next time you feel surrounded by dread or danger, begin to lift your eyes and focus on Jesus, lift Him up with your sincere praise, and you will find His Presence will be manifest, bringing the strength and power you need to overcome.
