Staying the Course

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV): "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

It's natural for people to lose heart after giving their all for a long period of time and not seeing the results they were expecting to see. There may be times where we stood on God's Word, believed, and confessed its promises, only to feel sorely disappointed when we didn't see the results we wanted to see, in the time we wanted to see them. If you are ever tempted to feel disappointed in God, or are ready to give up on your faith, carefully consider this truth: God's Word is truth, and completely dependable. What's more, God has bound Himself to His Word and promised to always honour what it says. But sometimes we forget that while we are waiting, there is a beautiful process for us to embrace. It's called entering God's rest. This is a place where we have settled in our hearts and minds that God is good, and that He is faithful to us. So no matter what, we will never give up trusting Him or His Word. Then we confidently and calmly refuse the negative, doubtful thoughts, and begin to thank and praise the Lord for Who He is in our lives. As we do this, our souls (our minds, emotions, and will) come into perfect harmony with Him. Suddenly peace and joy begin to rise up from our spirits and flood our beings with hope, and supernatural inner strength, to stay the course until we see every promise fulfilled.
