Don't You Waver

1 Kings 18:20-21 (NLT): "So Ahab summoned all the people of Israel and the prophets to Mount Carmel. Then Elijah stood in front of them and said,'How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!' But the people were completely silent."

In Luke 18:8 Jesus asked if He would find people of faith when He returns. In the days of Elijah, we find a whole nation undecided about what they believe. We find an entire generation either gripped by idol worship, or too afraid to stand up for what they believe, until Elijah challenges their indecisiveness. Just as it was in the days of Elijah, our generation is either ungodly or silent about their faith. There is no time to be double minded, and no excuse to have one foot in the world and the other in the Kingdom of God. This is not the time to be bashful over your faith - a lukewarm heart is detestable to God. Be counted as one who stands up for what is right and true, no matter how unpopular it is. Be unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, understanding it is the power of God to save and deliver people from eternal death. Today, make the decision to become single minded concerning your commitment to Christ, and boldly take your stand for faith and righteousness, without wavering.
