Psalms 139:23 (AMPC): "Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!"

How do we know if anything lies hidden in our hearts? We can ask the Holy Spirit who searches out all things and is ready to lead us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is our wonderful gift from the Father. He lovingly convicts us of the things in our hearts that have the potential to take us out of God's plan for our lives. The devil will try to convince you to keep sin hidden under the radar in your soul, where you don't realize the division it's causing in your spirit. Hidden sin will always manifest in the form of shame, where your faith is shipwrecked because you lack the confidence you once had to draw near to God. This is the age-old tactic the devil used in the garden, to separate Adam and Eve from God. Don't allow anything to hold you out of your wonderful and beautiful partnership with the Holy Spirit. When He gently shows you things that need correction, be quick to repent and quick to obey. This is a key to staying in close fellowship with God.
