Pursue Peace and Holiness

Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV): "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:"

There is a great reward for those who stay on the path of righteousness and faith, and choose to live holy. The Bible tells us to pursue peace and holiness, and for good reason. The lack of peace and holiness in our lives prevents us from enjoying the immediate presence of the Lord. Have you ever been in a service where others are being blessed by the anointing of the Lord, but you can't enter into it, because you are so inwardly upset about something or someone? The Word holiness means to be separate or to be different. With the Holy Spirit living inside us, we are called and empowered to live differently from the world. We are called to go after peace, walk in forgiveness, and stay free from offense. If we don't, we won't be able to enter into and experience the tangible Presence of God. Don't let strife and bitterness keep you out of where you belong. At all cost, go after being different from the world by keeping your heart free from those things that stop you from being empowered and fulfilled when you encounter the Presence of God.
