Romans 3:26 (AMPC): "It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus."
When you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, your spirit was made brand new and became righteous before God. That's why, as believers, we can boldly stand in the presence of God knowing we have been redeemed from the power of sin, washed clean by the blood of Jesus, and empowered to live free from guilt and shame, as we walk out our salvation. In Philippians 2:13 we are told that it's God Who continuously works in us to do both His will and good pleasure. As we cooperate with Him, it's as though we disappear and His Glory is revealed instead. Walking in God's righteousness has everything to with our lives being totally surrendered and overcome by His. We become the demonstration of His righteousness when He is allowed to manifests Himself in and through us. This is the life we are called to live in Him, being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
