James 1:5 (AMPC): "If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him."

Have you ever found yourself so busy making plans for your future that you completely forgot to stop and ask the Lord for His wisdom and will concerning them? When God is backing, and on-board with our plans, not only will they bring great peace and joy to our lives, they are guaranteed to succeed - because it's impossible for them to fail. That's why God insists that we don't rely on our own wisdom to plan ahead, but ask Him to guide us. The Word clearly states that we can boldly approach Him for wisdom, fully expecting to receive it. The only condition He gives us is that we come right up alongside Him in order to obtain it. That's because more than just freely hand out answers to us, He wants to have a relationship with us. If we draw near to Him, and ask for His wisdom; He willingly opens up His hand and reveals everything we need to know and understand concerning our plans for the future. So don't try plan ahead on your own; come close to Him and ask. You will not be disappointed.
