Make your requests known

Philippians 4:6 (HCSB): "Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

God's Word teaches us how to pray effectively. We are told that praying from a place of fear and anxiety will not result in anything productive. But, when we approach the Lord with a heart full of faith, knowing He hears us and is always faithful to honour His Word concerning us, change comes. The point is to pray according to His will. That's why we must have God's Word backing our requests so we can be confident that what we ask for, we will receive. And when we ask with hearts full of thanksgiving, our faith produces results. That's because thanksgiving is the language of faith that attracts God's attention and receives great recognition from Him. So go ahead, make your request known to God the way His Word teaches us to, and see your prayers become powerfully effective.
