Draw Near

Luke 21:37 (NIV): "Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening He went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives."

Jesus operated in wisdom and power, and His work was consistently relevant and fruitful because He was in constant communication with His Heavenly Father. At His own admission He never spoke or acted outside of His Father's will. Even when He was tempted to become despondent and step back from His purpose because of opposition, He refused to give up. Instead, He increased His time of intimate prayer with His Father and drew near to His Presence. As a result, He grew in wisdom and favour with both God and man. Just the same, when we feel drained or exhausted from standing our ground for what is right - or despondent and discouraged from continuous opposition - God's Presence is key! We can boldly draw near to the throne of grace, to receive His refreshing; mercy; and help for every need
