2 Peter 1:10 (NLT): "So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away."

Once we have received our new life in Christ Jesus, it's imperative for us remain strong in our faith, moving forward in the freedom and victory we have in Him. Too often believers fall back into their old habits and life choices the moment temptation or trouble appears.We don't have to forfeit God's blessing, protection and purpose when hardships come - not if we choose to stand trusting Him and hold on tightly to His Word. Peter teaches us to live holy lives, as people who are genuinely saved, by separating ourselves from all forms of corruption. He encourages us to increase the power and peace in our lives by regularly spending time with God in His Word.This is what grows our faith and keeps us living in victory, free from our past sinful nature. If you feel you've been on the brink of quitting your faith, it's time to completely turn your back on the devil. Push forward in your commitment to Jesus and you will not fall away.
