Job 19:25 (NET): “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that as the last He will stand upon the earth.”

Although at a point in his life Job faced tremendous trouble on all fronts of his life, losing what he counted dear and valuable to him - this declaration of faith brought a surge of courage and stability in the chaos. We learn from his story to not only worship God when things are going well, but through the face of adversity too. When Job encountered God in his struggles, he was fully persuaded that even in the midst of devastation God’s faithfulness can be trusted. Don’t let your faith in God be circumstantial. Choose to worship and find your peace and joy in Him at all times. When Job understood the greatness of God in the middle of his sorrows, he was rewarded double for his trouble. All that was lost was redeemed, and even more blessing came into his life. This is how we should demonstrate our faith: placing our full confidence in the great mercy and faithfulness of our God, always trusting Him to honour His Word concerning us. When you are tempted to moan and complain, choose to praise because you know that your Redeemer lives and His redemption is at hand.
