You are Valuable

Matthew 6:26 (HCSB): “Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?”

As Christians, our worth comes from the God Who loves us and gave Himself for us - not from material wealth and perishable things. To help us understand how much we are valued, Jesus used an analogy of the sparrow. Our Heavenly Father takes great care to not let this little creature go hungry. Unlike the sparrow, we have the ability to sow and reap and gather; and still we are promised, as we put God first in our lives, our every need will be provided for. Don’t look for validation from the world; look at what God’s Word says about you. He is constantly looking after you and ordering your steps as you lean on Him and trust in Him. If He is mindful of the smallest creatures, how much more is He mindful of us? He desires for us to prosper and succeed in life. Seek Him first and you’ll find He’ll never leave you destitute or hungry but will abundantly provide your every need.
