Psalms 75:6-7 (AMPC): “For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up. But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.”

Do you sometimes feel you’re not receiving recognition for the things you do? It’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling unappreciated or taken for granted. The truth is: even if people don’t recognise your hard work, sacrifice and devotion, God does. And the Word teaches us that He doesn’t sit idle and do nothing about it either. He not only sees what you do, He notices your heart motive behind it; and if it’s pure, He will deliberately move on your behalf to promote you. The Word says He is the One Who will promote you. His promotion is far greater and more rewarding than any promotion the world will offer you - and it will outlast it too. If your heart motive is for selfish gain and not to bless the Lord, your reward will never amount to the true riches God could give you. So work hard with an attitude of joy, giving all of yourself to the task - as if you were doing it for the Lord; and He will not allow your efforts to go unnoticed. True and lasting promotion comes from Him.
