The anointing breaks the yoke

Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV): "It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil."

The word anoint originally meant the smearing or rubbing of oil or perfume upon an individual. In early farming times, when a yoke became too tight or difficult to take off an animal's neck, the farmer would take a fatty or greasy substance and rub it around the neck of the animal. This would cause that yoke to slip off easily, releasing the animal from its burden. In biblical terms, the anointing is the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit, poured out and evident on our lives. When we are submitted to the Holy Spirit and walk yielded to His voice, His tangible presence influences every part of our lives. Where in our natural strength things are difficult and burdensome, the anointing releases God's supernatural ability - enabling us to do His will with ease and joy. Know that you don't have to struggle under the pressure of doing things in your own strength. You can yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and call on His anointing to lessen your load and bring you fullness of joy today.
