Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV): "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
If we want to see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives, it's imperative for us to hold on tightly to His words, no matter what! The phrase hold fast, in this verse, is described in the original Greek as someone who has spent his entire life searching for the object of his dreams. When he finally finds the object he wraps his arms around it, making it his own and refuses to let it go. There is no possible way that object can be pried out of his grip and no way that he will ever loosen his hold to let it slip away. No matter how dismal things may look in the natural, this is the same attitude we must have concerning the promises of God. Once His Words have taken root in your heart, hold fast to them. Tightly embrace what God has shown you, make it your own, wrap your faith around it and refuse to loosen your hold on it. You can trust that God is always faithful to do exactly what He has promised.
