What is your faith rooted in?

1 Corinthians 2:5 (AMPC): "So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God."

So many people try to intellectualise and reason the Christian faith. Paul warns us to not let our faith be rooted in human philosophy or reasoning, but in the very real, supernatural power of God. The Word is full of God's wisdom; it's a wisdom that is not natural, and must be taken to heart and believed, not debated or reasoned. When it's embraced and received as our ultimate truth, it powerfully activates the supernatural power of God in our lives. At all times, we must remember that we believe in and belong to a supernatural God, Who is not limited by the natural laws or reasonings of this world. Be careful to not find yourself caught in the trap of reducing your faith to human reasoning, but have it firmly rooted in the unmistakable, supernatural power of God!
