Psalms 91:1 (AMPC): "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]."

Sometimes we face difficult times, or hear heart-wrenching news that completely takes us by surprise and seems to take the ground out from under us, turning our worlds upside down. In the natural, our immediate instinct may be to run away and hide. That's certainly how David felt when Saul, his own father-in-law and king, was set on murdering him. The truth is: in desperate times like these, where all hope seems gone - there is a hiding place we can run to. It's the secret place of the Most High. There is safety in the presence of God. It's a place where even though things around us appear to be falling apart - we remain fixed and stable under the shadow of His Personal care. Today, draw near to the Lord, make Him your hiding place, and you will experience the peace and safety only His Presence can provide. It will strengthen and restore you, and keep you in a place of mental and emotional well-being. This is where you will see things from His perspective and be able to walk through any storm into victory.
