Jeremiah 29:11 (AMPC): "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome."

This beautiful promise is often quoted to give people a great sense of hope to hold onto concerning their future. The wonderful thing about the Word is that it always provides practical instruction on how to take this hope and have it become our reality. That's what the verses that directly follow this promise do. Jeremiah 29:12-13 says that when we call upon the Lord, and pray to Him, He promises to hear and heed us. It also guarantees that our seeking the Lord will most certainly not be in vain because when we seek Him, inquire for, and require Him as a vital necessity, we will find Him, when we search for Him with all our hearts. Seeking the Lord as our vital necessity is something He continuously encourages us to do throughout His Word. And whenever we do, we can, and must expect to find all we need in Him. Today, you can decide whether to worry about your future or draw close to God; as you seek Him, He has guaranteed that you will find Him - and as you place your trust in Him, you will not be disappointed.
