Love validates your expectation

1 Corinthians 2:9 (AMPC): "... as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognising the benefits He has bestowed]."

Experiencing the full extent of God's Divine favor and rich blessing for us has everything to do with our loving devotion to Him. It's true that Jesus paid the price for us to live abundantly in Him. Our salvation gave us the right to enter into a lifetime of blessing and victory. That is His gift of grace to us, which we accept by faith. Now that we have this glorious right to live in Him - it becomes a conscious, daily decision we make each day. Being in love with the Lord means choosing to hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him, and gratefully recognising the benefits of His goodness and kindness towards us. Jesus said abiding in Him this way is how we truly love Him (John 14:15). We cannot separate our sincere love for Him from our reverential affection and obedience to Him. As far as He is concerned, it's one and the same. And it's this love that validates our expectation to experience all He has prepared and planned for us to walk in. There is no challenge, spiritual attack or calamity that can rob or stop us from the wonderful benefits we can enjoy when we choose to live in Christ Jesus. Our vital and intentional devotion to Him, demonstrated by our obedience to His will, keeps us experiencing His favour and victory, no matter how severe the storms of life may seem.
