Jeremiah 31:3 (AMPC): "The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you."
We all thrive on knowing the unconditional love and support from those around us. However, true confidence for life doesn't just come from the opinions or actions of others. The foundation of our joy, peace and worth comes from knowing who we are to God, more than how others regard us. When all is said and done, His truth is all that remains and holds ground. God's opinion of you is not fickle, nor is His faithfulness towards you conditional. Even when you walk away from His will for you, He remains waiting and watching for you to turn back to the safety and security of His love. When you are wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord and abide in Him, trusting in, and leaning entirely on Him - you will know His faithfulness towards you and see how His love has and will continuously draw you into Himself. Instead of expecting man to provide your sense of worth and joy, take time today to focus on the Lord's dependable nature and everlasting love for you. You will never be disappointed in the confidence you draw from knowing His faithfulness towards you.
