Credible Evidence

Romans 12:11 (AMP): "Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavour; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord."

As children of God, we are representatives of His kingdom. That means everything we do, including our attitudes and the way we do things, must be a good testimony to others. The word testimony means credible evidence. That means the moment we wake up in the morning until the time we lay down our heads to sleep at night, the way we conduct ourselves should be credible evidence that we belong to God's kingdom. Romans 12:11 explains that evidence in four distinct ways. It says we are to never lag in zeal. That means whatever our responsibilities are, no matter how we feel about them; we are to do them enthusiastically and with a good attitude. It also says we must work with earnest endeavor; that means we must sincerely intend to work hard at whatever we are given to do. Thirdly, it says we should be aglow, burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord; when we choose to keep our lives full of the Holy Ghost, His strength and wisdom and excellent nature will shine brightly in us in every task we put our hands to. Most importantly, no matter what the task, whether it's at home, school, church, or your place of employment, we are to consider all we do as a service to the Lord; that means giving it all we've got in an attitude of gratefulness and praise! It may be time to take an honest look at yourself today, are you being the credible evidence that you belong to the kingdom of God? You carry the most precious treasure inside of you - the Spirit of God, and He will empower you to do all things with excellence as you yield your attitude to Him. He will cause you to prosper and grow in favor when you do all things as unto Him.
